Keith Medrano, Moonton’s public relations manager, issued a statement justifying the selection of the seasoned coach for the honor. He said Ducky contributed to MLBB eSports’ growth in the Philippines. Also, Ducky is one of the respectable figures in the local MLBB scene. In Season 6, Bren Esports won the MPL PH under Ducky’s leadership, qualifying them for the M2 World Championship. He was the team captain when they beat the Burmese Ghouls in seven games in the M2 grand finals. They were the first Filipino team ever to take home an M-series championship.
Bren Esports made a stunning return this year, winning the 32nd SEA Games and the IESF World Esports Championship in 2023, after spending the previous five seasons unable to crack the top three in MPL PH.
